About Akasha Counseling

ARIEL-3I am passionate about helping young creative professionals feel more confident and excited about their romantic relationships and career choices.  I have always been fascinated by the exploration process, and have found my passion in helping others find themselves and what they want in life. At some points in our life, like during a breakup, a career change or a move, this can be a really difficult process. That is why I am particularly dedicated to sharing practical tools that help people feel closer to the people that matter most to them, get back on track with their health goals, and start seeing more successes in their career. Together we’ll figure out what’s best for you with respect to your relationships and how to feel confident and assured with whatever decision you make. I provide you ways to feel less stressed, more joyful and get rid of the pain of “not knowing.” When your boyfriend or girlfriend is getting more serious or feels more certain than you are, together we will figure out what’s best for you.

This has been a passion of mine for a long time.

When I was in high school and coming of age, the internet was as well. You might remember this was the time of AOL instant messenger and chat rooms. But as a teen, I was fascinated by these personality quizzes that I could take online and the results would tell me more about me and who I was. Looking back, I realized this was during a time when I was trying to figure that out and here were these forms that I could fill out, hit a button and out would come summaries of me and my personality. If only life were that simple!

This is one of the reasons I find doing therapy so rewarding – if you found out that months ago you could have stopped struggling, would you have taken action? In therapy, we find answers to your questions and get you past the uncomfortable “quarter life crisis.”

I approach therapy from a training background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. With these tools, I can identify and provide practical tools that have been shown to reduce anxiety, stress and feelings of overwhelm and bring more satisfaction to your everyday life.

Integrative Care

I believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being and that therapy is only one piece to this puzzle. One cannot separate mind and body and integrating other components of healthcare can help address one’s overall well-being. This may include physical/medical care, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, and nutrition. If you are interested in exploring these other areas, visit Akasha Counseling’s partner Denver Integrated Therapies for more information and potential options.
